Words from Jathedar

ਗੜ ਅਨੰ ਦ ਫਿੇਰ ਬਸਾਵਿਹਗ।ੇ

Garh Anand is the future of Khalsa Panth. A space that assures spiritual independence and a principle-driven life. What is life without principles? especially those that are given to us by our Gurus. It is these principles that shape us as a community which have been forgotten in the wave of industrialization during the British Raj.

We have learned from elder Gursikhs that the life of Sikhs is of disciplined which means it might not be easy but it is Guru-driven. Maybe that is the reason that Gursikhs even during the days of struggle never left the age-old practices of writing Gurbani, doing Keertan with Tanti Saaj and even writing poetries.

At Garh Anand, we try to revive these almost forgotten traditions. Since 2015 we have conducted camps, workshops and seminars intending to regenerate these ancient practices and bridge the gap between Westernization and Sikhi.

We strongly believe that change in the Panth can be brought about when we possesively and passionately start seeing it as ‘Our Panth’ or My Khalsa Panth’.

Our Vision

“Without vision, the people perish.”

It is an unquestionable fact that Gurtagaddi Tilak was given to Handwritten Sroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and hence we envision to:

  • To have at least 12,000 likhaaris from 12,000 pinds out of Punjab

  • To have handwritten larivaar Beerh sahib in at least all historical Gurdwaras.

Annual Month of Giving

Accompanying us, 52 Likhari are writing Beerh Sahib and more than 400 Likhari doing Pothi sahib sewa. Jathebandi provides free paper, qalam, traditionally made inks to all the likharis.

Just as Maya is very necessary for every worldly work, in the same way, many services of Guru Ghar cannot run without Maya. For the revival of the writing tradition of the Guru Ghar, we need your support so that this service can continue and all the Likharis can have the necessary equipment (paper, pen, ink, etc.) and run all other sewas smoothly.

Change a life today

As long as gurbani is not written properly, none of us can truly rest. It doesn’t take much to change the way we write, Get in touch today and start making the difference.
